About Dough Babe

I left a 15-year career to make cookies.
This is the honest version of the story.
I spent fifteen years in tech startups. Good salary, good benefits, a career I was competent at. I'd have logos designed, Instagram handles I'd reserved, business plans I'd written, but never acted on. All of them for a cookie company.
Someday kept moving.
Then staying started costing more than leaving. Not just financially. The kind of cost that shows up in how you feel on Sunday nights. I'd spent fifteen years building something for other people. I wanted to find out what I could build for myself.
Dough Babe is what happened when I stopped moving someday.
I'm a minimalist. In my home, in my design taste, and it turns out, in my cookies. I don't believe more is better. I believe the right things, done with intention, are better. Every cookie on this menu earned its spot. Every ingredient has a reason. Nothing is here just because it photographs well.
I bake once a week, in small batches, from scratch. I ship on Monday so your cookies arrive fresh. Denver locals can pick up Sunday while they're fresh out of the oven.
This is the thing I kept putting off. I'm glad I stopped.

what we believe
restraint is a skill
Anyone can add more. It takes discernment and taste to know when something is exactly right and stop there.
Every ingredient earns its place
Every ingredient has a job. If it doesn't make the cookie better, it doesn't make the cut.
Once a week on purpose
The limited batch isn't a scarcity tactic. It's how fresh actually works.
